Summary

Julius Caesar has been murdered by Brutus and the conspirators. Mark Antony has been given permission to speak to the crowd, after agreeing not to blame the senate members.

Brutus has spoken first from the pulpit and has convinced the plebians that Caesar was a dishonourable. Mark Antony skillfully praises the senators, most notably Brutus, and with his rhetoric, persuades the crowd to believe that Caesar was actually not a bad man, turning the plebians against the senators.

During the play within the play, Rosalind is forced to ad-lib parts of "Private Lives" on the faux balcony. It's a complete disaster and she nearly has a breakdown.

Evelyn's crippled daughter, Eva, has just let out an earth shattering scream in court after hearing the testimony of Robert who had tried to rape her. Evelyn breaks down in front of everyone in the courtroom, trying to find someone to blame for her daughter's misfortune. Evelyn's attention turns toward Cora, whom she believes to be a sinful woman, and begins wildly insulting her.
