Rick Robinson

Biography

Rick Robinson is an award-winning Los Angeles area playwright and director. A graduate of the U.C. Davis drama department, Rick's plays were twice selected to be a part of the Undergraduate Playwright's Festival, an annual showcase of the school's three top plays and he twice represented Davis at the U.C. intercollegiate arts festival.

Out of the scholastic cocoon, Rick has penned six plays. His writing deals with the benefits and social perils of the internet, the inherent absurdity of number-crunching cubicle work and the dehumanizing effect of corporations. His tragedies are often comic and dramas poignant and while his stories differ in tone, they are united by their portrayal of the human struggle to find lasting emotional connections.
