It's not that interesting, really. I have my grandparents to thank for it. We visited once and... they were like these- old-school Christian Nazis... no offense. And they'd come storming down saying "I was going to burn for this and burn for that, and burn because I hadn't gone through some ritual of being 'saved'." And so I asked my mom, who you know... was pretty forward thinking, thank god...and I said I was scared. Because grandpa said I was going to burn in hell. That's not really what you want to hear when you're, you know, ten. And she tells me, and I remember this. I remember this perfectly. She said: "Your father and I don't believe in hell. We believe that God forgives you." So that was it for me. I questioned everything I'd learned.
