Christine, who has recently been widowed, comes to visit her friend, Nora, whom she hasn't seen in 10 years.
In this monologue, Nora speaks of how she read in the paper that Christine had been widowed. She confirms with Christine that she had been left with no money and no children. She tells Christine that instead of being selfish and taking about herself, she wishes to hear only about Christine. Nora then goes on to talk about how much money her husband is making now and how marvelous it is to be comfortable.
